Editing a Package

Many aspects of the package record may be edited. A Package Update transaction is recorded to application history when a package is edited. To reach the Edit Package form for a package and edit the package's record, refer to the steps below.

Note: If the package status is delivered, the package cannot be edited.

Note: The information recorded about the package is based upon information added at the time the package was added to the system. Use this form to add or update package information.

  1. In the Packages Data page, select the Edit button Edit Iconfor the package that you want to edit.
  2. The Edit Package form appears for this package. The Package tab is to the front. The main package data is edited from this tab.

Edit Package Form

  1. Tracking Number (required): this field may be changed.
  2. Recipient (required): this field may be changed.
  3. Status: this field is read-only. It cannot be changed.
  4. Site (required): this field may be changed.
  5. Location (required): this field may be changed.
  6. Package Type: this field may be changed or cleared.
  7. Carrier (optional): this field may be changed or cleared.
  8. Shipping Method (optional): this field may be changed or cleared.
  9. Damage: this field may be changed or cleared.
  10. Received Date: this field is read-only. It cannot be changed.
  11. Delivered Date: this field is read-only. It cannot be changed.
  12. Delivered To: this field is read-only. It cannot be changed.
  13. Lost Date: this field is read-only. It cannot be changed.
  14. Package Lost checkbox: mark this checkbox if the package is lost. This will automatically update the status to Lost.
  15. Comments: this field may be changed.
  16. Save or Cancel: select the Save button to close the form and save the changes or select the Cancel button to close the form and cancel any changes.

Details Tab

This tab displays package Details. Click this tab to bring it to the front. All package details are optional.

Images Tab

You are able to view the package picture(s) and the package signature at this tab (see "Viewing the Package Images").

User Defined Fields Tab

You are able to reach the user defined field information for a package at this tab. You may also work with the user defined fields at this tab (see "Dynamic User Defined Fields").
